There was also an alternate option that did not include the people mover (our lovely Incentro vehicle modeled by Bobby Valentine!). All renders were scanline from 3ds Max 4 with minimal mapping. The dirt, reflections and some of the shadows were touched up in Photoshop. The cars on the new upper deck were a mix of cut images and 3D. 10 inch wide stripes were alos in fashion then too.

William Natche Bridge

These are always fun and a little rare. These photo simulations were a quick turnaround type project for a pursuit back in 2006. Randy was given several bridge options to model and render out (a total of 11) in a very short amount of time. It bugged him to death to not be able to spend the time to deatil these out. Even said, these turned out great. You'll have to ask Randy how he did the falling snow effect...

Original:

Option A:

Option B:

Option C:

Option D:

Harborside/Hudson Burgen

DV Team: Chris Reynolds and Randy Lawrence

Location: New Jersey

Sotware: old

Existing Image:

Dragon's Gate Bridge

This Blast from the Past is interesting because of the information given to us to work with. For those of you who have had the pleasure of working with Scott Danielson, it's always interesting and fun. This particular project was a pursuit that PB Asia was going after. We developed several 3D renderings showing various options of the proposed PB design for a bridge from mainland China to Macau. Scott developed a series of sketches of the bridge incorporating a dragon as the main structure for the supsension part of he bridge. Below are the rendering and the sketches. Fun stuff!

Above: A renering of one of three options including the dragon heads and lotus leaves.

Above: an earlier version of the "Dragon heads" (with an appocolyptic sky) using plate steel.

Above: Scott's design detail sketch for the heads

Above: Scott's sketch of the full design.

St. Stephen's Church

St. Stephen's Church: Kevin Gilson, Bob Valentine, Dave Thorp, Joe Nortnik, Ryan Sander, Glen Loyd, and Jason Brummett.

The above images are actually a few stills from the interior animation our group did way back.
