| I found this little nugget of info regarding combustion and the method for opening files. Normally, you end up using the combustion File Browser to open your files. While it looks cool and has some useful features (Thumbnails), it is not particularly fast. In fact, it can be downright sluggish! I found a method by which you can bypass the combustion interface and open elements utilizing the standard Windows interface. To do this, open combustion and select File>Preferences. In the Host>General options, you will see an option called “Use Thumbnail File Browser”; uncheck this selection and click OK. Now, when you use the open or open workspace option in the file menu, you will see the standard Windows file browser and notice a SIGNIFICANT speed increase when navigating and opening elements.
