Autodesk signs definitive agreement to acquire Kynogon, maker of Kynapse—the leading game AI middleware.

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Feb. 19, 2008 — Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Kynogon SA, the privately held maker of Kynapse artificial intelligence middleware. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Very interesting indeed. It looks like Autodesk is pushing into some in-house real time capabilities. I'd be very interested to see what new or current softwares will be using AI...
