Woah those pics are huge, you should really resize them before posting on a form.

Guys, i will try and get some pics to put up soon as i need to find some decent ones.

some of the pics i have seen are awesome on here, some really good techniques.

Hopefully me and my 5D can get some good pics up here for you to see.

FYI: the forum software does automatically resize images within the post.  I think it's set at 800x600 and does a pretty big compression (you can see it).  If you do want to post something higher, you can always include it as an attachment...

I noticed a significant difference in quality between uploading a bmp or jpeg.

The bmp came in really crisp. The jpeg was just a mess, even though the original was fairly high-res. Probably just over-compressed....

I love to play around with photography, but really am just an amateur that gets a lucky shot once in a while. I recently started doing underwater photography on my trip to Indonesia. I'm just using a Nikon CoolPix and a Fuji FinePix that fits in my pocket. so I'm pretty happy with the images I've been able to get.

Thanks Tom I've actually been a serious photographer for 10+ years, use a backpack full of lenses and equipment and take as much time as my wife will tolerate . So I have to admit that these photos took a lot more work than a typical set of "happy snap" holiday photos.
