| I thought the SFX was brilliant. I think ILM really stepped it up this time. I did notice some inconsistencies with some of the robots but overall they did an awesome job. As for the movie though, I thought it was pretty horrible, but I still enjoyed it, if that makes any sense. It really is a typical Michael Bay movie. Anyone else get really dizzy with the whole 360 degree shots of Shia and Megan. Way to break the 180 degree rule. I almost threw up. Is it just me or is Michael Bay really that bad at directing?

| It's a shame that he still sits in the chair. I absolutely refuse to see it. The last one was bad enough and I won't get that 2 hours back. I think he's trending to be worse. It's funny, one of the reviews I read compared Bay to Ed Wood, but with millions to work with rather than hundreds (I sure there's some inflational adjustments that should be made). Crap, crap, crap. The only movie of his that I almost enjoyed was The Island, and that was only because it was a unique and interesting story. I sort of tuned out when the typical Bay blowalotofshitup started towards the end. Give me a break. Now let me tell you how I really feel about Bay's directing/producing...

| BTW, I saw this on a recent newsletter form t-shirt hell (made me laugh): “Are you as pumped about the Transformers sequel as I am? Oh man! Is it a car? Is it a robot? Is it a big noisy mess with no story, characters, or plot? There's only one way to find out, and it will only cost you $10 plus gas and concessions. Go shininess and sounds!” Couldn't have said it better myself.

I will wait to rent the second one. The first one was all about eye candy. Both of the flesh and of machine (3D). NO story ... Ugh.

Imagine giving the same budget that Bay gets to someone decent like Zac Snyder and got him to make Transformers, he would have done a better job. I can't blame the writers because they wrote Star Trek as well. The only difference between the two movies is Transformers had Michael Bay and Star Trek had JJ Abrams ....go figure lol. Somewhere underneath the movie was a good script and story but he just had to go and ruin it. Watching it on tv is better because watching it on the big screen will give you a head ache.

| I haven't seen it yet...but when I do, it will be basically be for the coolness factor of technical achievement. I am just a CG Hack interested in watching a bunch of (BAD WORD)-kicking, kick-(BAD WORD) robots tear each other up and everything else around them! Oh, pardon my shallowness, but isn't there a pretty girl somewhere in there too? I already got my "good story" movies in awhile back - Revolutionary Road and No Country for Old Men both have memorable stories and performances.

I want to see it for the CGI, but the GTO carnage in the first movie was just too disturbing for me.

I already got my "good story" movies in awhile back.. I need to add The Reader...great story and absolutely amazing performances by Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes. Mrs Winslet was working on The Reader and Revolutionary Road simultaneously...incredible. Okay...so who's up for Bruno?
