The news just broke this morning to PB employees that UK based Balfour Beatty has offered to buy Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc. for $626 million.  For the most part, PB employees will see no real affect to their daily jobs as Balfour Beatty CEO Ian Tyler says that "I'm absolutely clear that we need to maintain the brand, the values, the culture, and the processes of Parsons Brinckerhoff as a complete entity."  PB would remain intact as a wholly owned subsidiary of Balfour Beatty.  Pretty much nothing will change for the near future.

So, what does this potentially mean for pbviz.com?  For the next few years we plan to continue to grow our little community.  Although I've done a little research, I have yet to discover a visualization group within the 41,000 employee company.  Must keep searching!

I'll keep you all posted as we hear more.
