Hi all,

Here's an image I finished christmas day, it's an older image I've redone, there was nowt on TV and I've been wanting to finish this for ages. It's a generic healthcare image, not for any specific project. Have done a load of healthcare 3d in the past but this is my fav by a mile.

It was produced in 3ds Max 2011, Vray and Photoshop. It originally didn't have the woman in the image, but I added her and it turned the image from a very sterile looking view to one that I think tells a bit of a story I think. Looks quite sad, a woman, alone in a hospital room on her own, with an empty bed, gazing out the window at a couple walking passed the hospital. Only realised it had a bit of a story a day or so after finishing the image.

Or maybe I've had too much lager

Cheers,

Colin

Nice work...I really dig the glow and the atmosphere it creates.

The figures looks quite upright and stiff to me. The body language suggests tension to me more than sadness. Slouched shoulders and a head hung low would do the trick...pull on a few vertices perhaps?

Thanks for the comments, I see what you mean, I'll have a play with her pose.

Cheers,

Colin

Stories rock.  Sometimes they are intentional, sometimes not.  Either way, they are key to a great image.  Otherwise it's just an image.

I agree that she needs a little slouch to her shoulders or at least a slightly lowered head/face.  To further the story it could be her and her loved one outside with a slight transparanacy...
