I just completed a project where I utilized WMVs in PowerPoint and learned some interesting things about what works best and what does not. Ultimately it comes down to using the Advanced Profile Video 9 codec over all the rest. This, unfortunately is not easily found when using the Windows Media 9 encoder, however, once an encoding profile is created, you are virtually assured smooth playback in PowerPoint, let alone just about anything. I be posting a small tutorial in the next few weeks on how to do this so keep an eye out.

That'd be very useful, looking forward to the tutorial.

Thanks!
