Holy cow!  Except for the crappy engine lighting it looks pretty darn cool.  Those guys at ZGF had something like this for one of their clients.  The downfall was that it loaded the "level" with a big frickin gun on the screen.  Kind of killed the serenity of the design.

It will import max objects as "props". For example, the chairs, tables and other decoration are probably built in MAX or XSI (source engine is built for XSI, moreso than MAX), but all the walls, floors, etc. need to be constructed in the editor to provide collision and lighting, etc.
